Friday, April 17th: 12pm to 6pm Saturday, April 18th: 10am to 3pm Sunday, April 19th: 10am to 3pm (Name Your Price Day!) $10 Early Entry Dealers Hours! Friday ONLY from 9am to 12pm! Open not only to dealers, but anyone who wants early access to the sale. $10 cash entry fee. 9am to 12pm Friday.
After-School ArtVenture! Wednesday, April 15 4:00—5:00 PM Wednesday, April 29 4:00-5:00 PM Stop by for our newest after-school crafting program! Miss Julie will have an array of craft projects for children ages 5 to 11 years to choose from. No registration is required - just stop by any time between 4pm and 5pm!
Reading Fur-iend Brianna! Monday, April 6 2:30—4:00 PM Monday, April 20 3:30—5:00 PM Brianna the Therapy Dog will be at the library to help children that are not comfortable reading out-loud in front of others (or being around dogs) feel more relaxed. She loves when kids who love animals come to read to her, even if they are already comfortable readers.
Baby Meets Baby Thursday, April 23 11:00—11:30 AM Friday, April 24 12:30—1:00 PM Join us for our newest children's program! Baby Meets Baby is for 7 to 17 month olds and their caregivers to interact - with themselves, with each other, and with the Library! Caregivers can enjoy the relaxed environment to converse together while they help their Littles explore educational toys and board books. This playtime will encourage hands-on exploration of the senses, spatial reasoning, hand-eye coordination, socialization, and more! This program is for babies 7 to 17 months. Children MUST be able to sit on their own, unassisted and without support. Only one caregiver may attend, as this program will be held in a small area of the Children's Room. No registration required - just stop by!
Chess Club Thursday, April 9 5:30—8:00 PM Thursday, April 23 5:30—8:00 PM Chess teaches us to think, visualize, problem solve, strategize and take risks. Play the game that spans cultures and generations. By learning chess, one of the oldest and most fascinating of games, you can make a friend and learn a little sportsmanship. Our Chess Club meets the 2nd & 4th Thursday of each month at 5:30pm. All ages and skill levels welcome. No registration required. We are partnering with the United Way of Dutchess & Orange to be a drop-off location for their 100,000 Diaper Drive. Join us in keeping babies happy and healthy. Diapers are the #1 requested items by our community. Every child deserves to start life with dignity and comfort, yet many families in Dutchess and Orange counties, providing essential items like diapers can be a struggle. Drop off donations of new in package diapers in the box in the Library lobby now through May 14th.
