The Pleasant Valley Free Library suffered a serious fire on Tuesday morning, November 6th, and is closed.  No one was injured.  With the help of the community, the Pleasant Valley Free Library will rebuild and come back better than before.  Please keep us in your thoughts.

Library patrons can return books at any neighboring library.  Know that we are going to establish a temporary library location as soon as possible.  If you need to contact the library regarding your patron account, please email the Head of Circulation, Valerie, at pleasantvalleylibrary@yahoo.com. If you need to contact the library concerning donations, please email the director, Daniela Pulice at PVFLibrary@gmail.com.

Our deepest thanks to the fire companies who valiantly fought the fire.

Many people have asked about how to help.  At this point, because we are still assessing the damage and first steps to return to operation, no donated items can be accepted.  This means no books or other items.  However, monetary donations to help to defray the costs of temporary relocation will be most appreciated.

More information will be forthcoming as our situation and choices become clear and decisions are made.  It may look like nothing is happening, but much work is being done behind the scenes to get our library up and running.  We will keep you posted about our progress and ways that you can help.

We are so grateful to our wonderful community which has rushed to support the library at this difficult time.
